Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) is the national development agency for Irish film and animation investing in Talent, Creativity and Enterprise. The agency also supports and promotes the Irish film industry and the use of Ireland as a location for international production. 

We are currently recruiting for three positions: -

1          Inward Production Assistant

2          Production and Development Assistant

3          Digital Marketing and Communications Assistant

 

INWARD PRODUCTION ASSISTANT (4 year fixed-term)

Department:               Inward Production / Film Commission

Reporting to:               Inward Production Manager

Location:                     Dublin

Role

Reporting directly to the Inward Production Manager this role will be to support the Inward Production Manager whose role is to attract mobile film and television production in to Ireland.  The role will assist in project monitoring, project queries, locations recces and the preparation of marketing materials for producers / studio executives.  The role will also assist the Inward Production Manager in the key priorities of enhancing film production in the regions and the Film Dublin Partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high quality and efficient administrative service to the IFB Inward Production Manager,
  • To help prepare high quality brochures and other marketing materials,
  • To assist the IFB Inward Production Manager Unit with day-to day administration, coordination of recces, co-ordination of key meetings,
  • To assist tracking projects which are considering Ireland as a location,
  • To support effective work flows and processes and to provide key support in undertaking strategic initiatives.
  • Providing support for research as required.

Key Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent computer package proficiency including Word and Excel and photo editing software,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a fast-paced team who can contribute to a dynamic and innovative working environment,
  • Must have a strong client focus,
  • Must be able to work to challenging deadlines and work on own initiative,
  • A knowledge of geographical Ireland and key locations,
  • A desire to work the Film and TV sector is essential.

PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT (4-year fixed term)

Department:               Production and Development

Reporting to:               Project Manager Team

Location:                     Dublin

Role

Reporting directly to the IFB Project Manager Team this role will provide administrative support collectively and individually to the three project managers.  It will assist the Project Manager team within a very busy fast-moving environment with administration, filing, contacts, script administration, diaries and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide high quality and efficient administrative service to the Project Manager team,
  • To assist the Project Manager team with day-to day administration, coordination of meetings, diary management, contacts co-ordination of key meetings,
  • To support effective work flows and processes including streamlining internal workflows, project monitoring and filing,
  • Maintain the Unit paperwork, letters of support and follow up with IFB applicant companies,
  • To provide key support as required.
  • A desire to work the Film and TV sector is essential.

Key Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent computer package proficiency including Word and Excel,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a fast-paced team who can contribute to a dynamic and innovative working environment,
  • Must have a strong client focus,
  • Must be able to work to challenging deadlines and work on own initiative,
  • Must be a proactive thinker and must be able to think and work ahead of the Project Manager team and provide excellent support,

DIGITAL MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT (4-year fixed term)

Department:               Marketing & Communications Department

Reporting to:               Marketing and Communications Manager

Location:                      Dublin

Role

Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager this role will provide an opportunity to work across co-ordinating all digital marketing & communications at the Irish Film Board including generating social media content, web content, newsletters, trailers and IFB content for public. The role will also be responsible for creating ideas to increase traffic across all of the IFB communications platforms, as well as managing IFB analytics. The role will assist with preparing website news stories and press releases. Also key to this role will be providing necessary administration support to the Marketing and Communications Manager in a very fast-paced vibrant department. 

Key Responsibilities

  • To drive the IFB social media presence across all social media channels,
  • Preparation of content for the IFB website
  • Co-ordinating the company's website via a CMS (WordPress) and keeping the IFB website up to date
  • To assist in the preparation of key marketing materials, with a particular focus on digital content
  • Monitoring and reporting on website performance using Google Analytics
  • Proofing all marketing materials - including brochures, flyers, advertising and posters
  • To assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with press releases and press queries
  • To support effective work flows and processes and to provide key support in undertaking strategic initiatives.
  • To provide high quality and efficient administrative service to the IFB Marketing and Communications Manager.

Key Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent computer package proficiency including Word, Excel, Power-point and social media platforms,
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and be borderline obsessive about accuracy across all marketing materials and communications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a fast-paced team who can contribute to a dynamic and innovative working environment,
  • Must have a strong client focus,
  • Must be able to work to challenging deadlines and work on own initiative,
  • Must love communicating and engaging with audiences,
  • A desire to work the Film and TV sector is essential.

Salary Scale

These positions will be offered at Clerical Officer Grade.  Salary scale will be €22,879 rising incrementally.  Annual leave is 20 days and all these posts will be part of the Irish Film Board Superannuation Scheme.  There will also be a probationary period of 9 months.
