At the start of each year BSÉ/IFB makes an allocation of its resources across its funding programmes based on past experience, observation of current trends, and strategic aims for the future. These allocations may be revised during the year in response to comparative demand and the development of new strategies.

For 2010 BSÉ/IFB’s resources are initially allocated to its funding programmes as follows:

• Development 

  Single Project Loans (fiction development / first draft / animation / international)	€2,021,000
  Multiple Project Development (MPD) (if this programme is relaunched, funding for it will not be required until 2011)	€0

  Fiction: International Production (following the introduction of a higher level of tax incentive (Section 481) net benefit, this type of funding is currently suspended)	€0

  Documentary	€1,410,000
  Short Films	€752,000
  Regional Support	€564,000
  Catalyst Project (if this programme is relaunched, its production funding will not be required during 2010)	€0
