Fresh Film Festival     

When:  February/March

The Fresh Film Festival showcases the work of filmmakers under the age of 18.  It is no longer a festival alone, but provides an annual programme of events in support of young filmmakers in Ireland. It hosts International Film Shares, creates opportunities for filmmakers to travel and network on an international level, provides workshops, produces various showcases and, of course, hosts the Ireland's Young Filmmaker Awards.



Cinemagic

Where: Belfast and Dublin

Cinemagic is a Belfast based award winning festival that embraces the magic of film, television and digital technologies to educate, motivate and inspire young people through the medium of film screenings, workshops and industry led masterclasses.

It is the largest film event for young people (aged 4 to 25) in the UK and Ireland, attracting over 20,000 people annually.


Junior Galway Film Fleadh

When: November
Where:  Galway

The Junior Galway Film Fleadh caters for young people as a distinctive cinema going audience by encouraging them to become involved in film through screenings, workshops and other related activities (eg script competition).  The festival devises and produces a programme which is enlightening, educational and entertaining.
