Award Winning Irish Animation A Film From My Parish – Six Farms to screen on RTÉ2 Tonight

The Irish short film A Film From My Parish - Six Farms, written and directed by Tony O'Donoghue, will be broadcast on RTÉ2 tonight at 11:25pm.

This five-minute documentary is an animated-photographic study of one parish in Co. Tipperary, and was produced by Janet Grainger for Mayfly Films Ltd. 

The short film has been widely acclaimed at film festivals on an international level and at home. It has previously been selected for screening at the renowned Sundance Film Festival as well as at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in France.  It also received two Honourable Mentions at the Cork Film Festival in the Best Irish Short Film and Best International Short Film categories for its imaginative and emphatic look at a rapidly disappearing rural world.  The film also picked up the Best Short Documentary award at the Kerry Film Festival.

A Film From My Parish - Six Farms was produced as part of the Frameworks short animation film scheme which is co-financed by the IFB, RTÉ and the Arts Council.

It can be seen tonight March 15th at 11:25pm on RTÉ2.
