Emmy-nominated Animator Merlin Crossingham to Speak at National Film School

11th Oct 2012
Merlin Crossingham will speak as part of the National Film Schools Lecture Series on Friday 12th October 2012.

Merlin joined Aardman in 1995, after graduating in Film & Photography from the Newport Film School. He initially worked on many TV commercials and shorts, before taking the roles of Key Animator on the feature film Chicken Run (2000), and Second Unit Director on Wallace & Gromit: Curse of The Were Rabbit (2005). He also co-directed the Creature Comforts America (2007) series for CBS, for which he gained a Primetime Emmy® nomination. Since then, Merlin has focused on directing Wallace & Gromit at Aardman, and, in 2009, this ultimately led to his promotion to Creative Director for Wallace & Gromit.

Lecture will take place on Friday 12th October 2012 in Room C028 at 3pm.

The National Film Schools Lecture Series is in association with Bord Scannán na hÉireann / The Irish Film Board (IFB).
