Guiding Lights 2013 - Call For Applications!

If so, Guiding Lights is for you.
Bord Scannán na hEireann/the Irish Film Board are delighted to be partnering with FÁS Screen Training Ireland to offer support for two eligible Irish applicants to participate in the next edition of Guiding Lights. We are now accepting applications from writers and directors to take part in a fifth round of the scheme, due to launch in February 2013.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 5pm, Thursday 15 November 2012
Successful applicants will benefit from 9 months of one-to-one mentor support from an established practitioner. A number of industry training and networking events will also take place alongside the mentoring.
Previous mentors include Danny Boyle, Sam Mendes, Barbara Broccoli, Paul Greengrass, Alex Garland, Kenneth Branagh, Alison Owen, Stephen Frears and Nick Hornby.

Guiding Lights is run by Lighthouse, and majority funded by the Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund as part of ‘A Bigger Future 2', the UK film skills strategy. The Creative Skillset Film Skills Fund is supported by the National Lottery through the BFI, and the film industry through the Skills Investment Fund.
We welcome applications from across the community and will provide financial assistance for pre-agreed travel, subsistence and childcare costs. We are also able to facilitate access for deaf and disabled people.
