Produced by Nick Ryan (The Summit) of Floodland Pictures with James Harris and Mark Lane of London based Tea Shop & Film Company (Cockneys vs Zombies, The Anomaly), the film shot by Robbie Ryan (Slow West, Jimmys Hall) on location in Northern Minnesota tells the story of John Wayne Cleaver, a 16 year old boy obsessed with serial killers but who really doesn't want to become one. So for his own sake and the safety of those around him he lives by rigid rules to keep himself "normal". When somebody starts murdering people in John's small Mid West town, he has to investigate and risk letting his own dark side out in order to stop the killer. But without his rules to keep him in check he might be more dangerous then the monster he is stalking. As the icy winter tightens its grip on the community a deadly supernatural game of cat and mouse ensues.
I AM NOT A SERIAL KILLER was produced by Floodland Pictures and Tea Shop & Film Company, with Fantastic films also on board as executive producers. Finance was from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board, QUICKFIRE FILMS and THE FYZZ FACILITY with London based INDEPENDENT handling international sales.
