Irish Short ‘Two Hearts’ Screens at Flickerfest Australia

17th Jan 2013
Darren Thornton's live action short TWO HEARTS will screen at Australia's Flickerfest International Short Film Festival this week.

Written by Colin Thorton and produced by Colette Farrell for Calipo Pictures, the short tells the story of Lorna, who after a man from her past is released from prison, sees her emotions spiral out of control. She finds herself inextricably drawn back to a life, and a love, that's forbidden.

Over the last 22 years Flickerfest has grown to become Australia's only Academy® accredited and BAFTA recognised competitive international short film festival and is one of the leading short film festivals in the world.

TWO HEARTS which was funded under the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Boards (IFB) Signatures short film scheme was nominated for the European Academy Awards and won Best International Short Film at the Rome Independent Film Festival last year.
