STITCHES Picks Up Award at Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival

Conor McMahon's comedy-horror STITCHES has picked up the Best Feature Film in the Midnight X-Treme section of the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain, one of the worlds most prominent fantasy and horror film festivals.

The Irish film stars comedian Ross Noble in his debut movie role as Stitches the clown who, having had a fatal accident at the hands of a group of children, comes back from the dead to wreak revenge on them when they celebrate one of their 16th birthdays. The film which won a Film4 FrightFest award from Total Film and recently screened at the Busan International Film Festival is due to be released in Irish cinemas on October 26th.

STITCHES was produced by John McDonnell, Brendan McCarthy, Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde. Stitches is a Fantastic Films/ Tailored Films with funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board.
