WHAT RICHARD DID to be released on DVD and VOD

Lenny Abrahamson's internationally acclaimed feature film ‘What Richard Did' will be available to buy on DVD and Volta on-demand from this week, it has been announced.

The film stars Jack Reynor, who is set to star in the next Transformers Hollywood blockbuster, as Richard Karlsen a golden-boy athlete and undisputed alpha-male of his privileged set of South Dublin teenagers. The world is bright and everything seems possible, until one night Richard does something that destroys it all and shatters the lives of the people closest to him.

Recently opening in the UK to rave reviews, with the BFI naming it ‘Film of the Week', the film is up for 10 IFTA Awards next month including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Script and it is also nominated for Best Screenplay at this year's London Evening Standard British Film Awards.

Element Pictures Distribution is distributing the DVD, which will be available to rent exclusively from Xtra-vision from this Friday January 25th. The film will also be available on-demand from February 8th.

The DVD includes special features such as an audio commentary from director Lenny Abrahamson and writer Malcolm Campbell, as well as a special director's interview.

WHAT RICHARD DID follows DVD will be available to buy nationwide.
