A romantic, humorous, rite-of-passage drama largely set in contemporary rural Ireland, Moondance is a story about falling in love for the very first time. Based on the novel The White Hare by Francis Stuart, the film charts the relationship between Dominic and Patrick, two young brothers who fall in love with Anya, who is visiting Ireland for the summer.
Patrick and Dominic are enjoying an independent carefree existence living in an beautiful, if decaying, old country house in West Cork. The boys' idyllic lifestyle begins to change with the arrival of Anya as they each develop a romantic attachment to her and their emotional lives descend into confusion and turmoil. What follows is a refreshingly honest, entertaining film about the enduring nature of love and its power to transform lives.
