An hour north of Dublin beside the
sea lies Mosney, until recently a
Butlin’s holiday camp. For 40 years
Irish families flocked here to escape
the daily grind of work.
A visit to Mosney today presents
a radically different picture, as it
now a camp for immigrant asylum
seekers from all corners of the
globe. This film investigates how
these displaced people adapt to
their new environment, culturally
and socially and is a snapshot of a
unique moment in Irish history from
inside the fading coloured walls
of Mosney.
