Over 25 Irish companies to attend MIPCOM 2011


There will be a strong Irish delegation attending MIPCOM, one of the most important international TV markets, which takes place in Cannes from 3rd - 6th October. Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board is delighted to partner with Enterprise Ireland on the Ireland on Screen stand once again which promotes the Irish industry at the market and provides a range of business facilities for Irish delegates.

Irish companies attending MipCOM this year include
Parallel Films, MNG Films, Octagon Films, World 2000, Accomplice TV, Element Pictures, Animo, Axonista, Big Mountain Productions, Brown Bag Films, Cartoon Saloon, Dublin Films, IDA Ireland, In Time Media, JAM Media, Kite Entertainment, Like It Love It Productions, Magma Productions Molten Rock, Network Ireland Television, Screentime ShinAwil, Telegael, Tile Films, Video Elephant, Vision Independent Productions, Windmill Lane Entertainment and Windmill Lane Pictures.

MIPCOM is one of the largest TV markets in the world and attracts over 12,400 participants, 4,200 buyers and 1,700 exhibitors from over 100 countries. The market is aimed at creating, co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content across all platforms. It provides the key decision-makers in the TV, film, digital and audiovisual content, production and distribution industry with the opportunity to network and discover future trends on a global level.

James Hickey, Chief Executive; Naoise Barry, Film Commissioner and Emma Scott, Production Executive will be attending MIPCOM from the Irish Film Board and Eileen Bell and Damien McCarney will be attending from Enterprise Ireland.
