FILM DUBLIN Partnership Saves Ek Tha Tiger and Titanic: Blood and Steel Time and Money

The Irish Film Board worked closely with the FILM DUBLIN Partnership in relation to EK THA TIGER and TITANIC: BLOOD AND STEEL which resulted in savings in both time and money for the productions.

Both EK THA TIGER and TITANTIC BLOOD AND STEEL have used an abundance of Dublin locations between them during their shoots including Trinity College, the Guinness Brewery, Henrietta Street, Dublin Castle, Earlsfort Terrace, the quays, South King Street, Mount Street, Temple Bar and St Stephens Green to name only a few.  The FILM DUBLIN Partnership slashed road closure fees by 65%, cut parking waiver fees by 60% and waived location fees totally resulting in major savings for the productions.

The FILM DUBLIN Partnership is made up of 30 members that range from various county and city councils, the Gardai and the Office of Public Works amongst others. Their aim is to ensure that Dublin remains an attractive base for film and television production providing logistical support to projects filming in Dublin. Working together, the Partnership makes the consultation, coordination and communication on film and television projects that are in need of multiple agency assistance run much more smoothly thereby saving a lot of time for the projects.

Previous projects to have benefited from the logistical support of the FILM DUBLIN Partnership included Steven Soderbergh's HAYWIRE :

"During the Irish shoot of Steven Soderbergh's film ‘HAYWIRE', The FILM DUBLIN Partnership were a hugely important and extremely positive component of the production. They were a vital conduit with regard to dealing with the various city agencies, providing a very important framework that allowed the production to access the city."
