Writer-Director Orla Murphy the only Irish entrant to make the list of Pinewood Studios Enter The Pitch competition
Writer-Director Orla Murphy, whose last short was the Oscailt Nollaig Shona, is the only Irish entrant to earn a place on the long-list of this year's Pinewood Studios Enter The Pitch competition http://www.enterthepitch.com/ with her pitch for comedy short Luck be a Lady. The brief was to create a short film pitch inspired by something from the Bible. Luck be a Lady is an underdog comedy inspired by the phrase "The Meek shall inherit the earth"
There is an online voting competition to decide which projects progress to pitch to a panel of industry judges to make the film. To view Luck be a Lady and the other pitches go to http://www.enterthepitch.com/, and vote for your top three.
Nollaig Shona was made with the support of Bord Scannán na hEireann/ the Irish Film Board and TG4 and made the official selection of many festivals worldwide including Rhode Island Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh and outdoors in Times Square, New York and most recently screened as part of the Underground Cinema's London Irish Festival.
