Don’t Miss Irish TV Premiere of KNUCKLE on RTÉ1 this Sunday

Ian Palmer's compelling documentary KNUCKLE punches its way onto our screens this Sunday for its television premiere on RTÉ 1 at 9:30pm.

The critically-acclaimed Irish documentary which provides an epic 12-year journey into the world of an Irish Traveller community, takes us inside their brutal, secretive and exhilarating bare-knuckle fighting lives.  Chronicling a history of violent feuding between rival families, the story focuses on two brothers as they fight for their reputations and the honour of their family name.

Following its release in Irish and UK cinemas last year, the action-packed documentary recently had a limited release in the U.S where it garnered rave reviews among audiences and critics alike.  It has also been picked up by HBO amidst plans to transform it into a drama series.

KNUCKLE was produced by Teddy Leifer for Rise Films and Ian Palmer for Seafield and was co-funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ the Irish Film Board (IFB) and BBC Storyville.
