Deadline for Submission for Galway Film Fleadh is Friday 23rd March
The deadline for accepting submissions for Feature Film and Feature Documentary categories for the Galway Film Fleadh is Friday the 23rd of March. The Festival is not obliged to view any material sent in after this date.
Regulations for submission and participation of Feature Films:
Best Irish First Feature:
Only Irish dramatic films by a first time director are eligible for this category. International productions will be considered if the Director is Irish. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
Best International First Feature:
Any feature length dramatic film by a first time director is eligible for this category. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
Best Irish Feature:
Irish films from new and established filmmakers are eligible. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
Best International Feature:
International films from new and established filmmakers are eligible. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
Best Irish Feature Documentary:
Irish documentary films from new and established filmmakers are eligible. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
Best International Feature Documentary:
International documentary films from new and established filmmakers are eligible. The Fleadh gives priority to World and International premieres. All feature films are selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates.
*Please note if your film has premiered elsewhere in Ireland it will be screened out of competition.
Submission Deadlines and Materials:
The submission deadline for selection purposes, which means the deadline for the festival's office to receive the required submission materials, is on or before 23rd March 2011. The festival is not obliged to view late entries.
In all categories any Film that has been previously broadcast on television in Ireland or screened at another Festival shall have less priority in programming terms than those that may premiere at the Fleadh. All selected films are chosen by a panel of industry professionals. All winning categories are judged by the audience and/or a jury.
