Latest Successful Signatures Projects Announced
Following another successful year for Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board short films, we are delighted to announce the latest teams selected for the fifth round of Signatures projects.
Signatures is our flagship scheme for the making of short live-action fiction films that act as a proving-ground for Irish creative talents. It is an opportunity for producers, directors and writers to work in a professional environment that will allow them to further their experience.
Some recent Signature short successes include Peter McDonald's light hearted PENTECOST which received an Academy Award® nomination and Lorcan Finnegan's FOXES which has just been selected for the renowned SXSW festival in Austin, Texas later this month.
We received a huge number of applications and following a very competitive selection process the following four teams of filmmakers have been awarded funding for their project.
- I Can't See You Anymore to be written by Thomas Martin, directed by Michael Kinirons and produced by Ailish Bracken for Blinder Films.
- Doghouse to be written and directed by Morgan Bushe and produced by Rory Dungan for Tilted Pictures.
- The Girl to be written by Mark Tuthill, directed by John Hayes and produced by Tricia Perrott for Green Sky Productions.
- Alia to be written and directed by Claire Dix and produced by Nodlag Houlihan for Zucca Films.
