The Irish @ SXSW 2012
Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, Enterprise Ireland and a delegation of Irish film and technology companies are attending the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, Texas this week with the aim of encouraging greater interaction between film and emerging technology and interactive media.
Enterprise Ireland and Board Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board will be showcasing the best Irish film and technology in booth 1307. The Irish Film Board will be represented by Patrick O'Neill, Industry Affairs Executive (Patrick.oneill@irishfilmboard.ie)
Five Irish films have been officially selected for the festival. Irish/Scottish co-production CITADEL directed by Ciarán Foy will have its world premiere this weekend and is joined in the Irish line-up by Kirsten Sheridan's DOLLHOUSE which will have its North American premiere along with Carol Morley's documentary DREAMS OF A LIFE and the short films FOXES directed by Lorcan Finnegan and Colm Quinn's JOY.
