Short Short DOWNPOUR to screen in Irish Film Institute this week
Claire Dix's short film DOWNPOUR will screen in the Irish Film Institute this week with the feature film Breathing.
Starring Muireann Bird (Eamon) and Cian Barry (Doctors, Shameless) DOWNPOUR is an ode to Ireland and to the Irish rain. The short was written and directed by Claire Dix (Free Chips Forever!) and filmed by Piers McGrail (Kelly & Victor). The editor was Anna Maria O'Flanagan (Frankie) with music composed by Michael Fleming (Deep End Dance).
The short was produced by Nodlag Houlihan for Zucca Films under Bord Scannán na hEireann/the Irish Film Board Short Shorts scheme.
Breathing is the directorial debut for esteemed Austrian actor Karl Markovics (The Counterfeiters). Downpour and Breathing will screen together from April 20th - May 3rd in the IFI, Temple Bar, Dublin.
