Cinekid Calls for Entries for its 2012 Festival.
Cinekid, the film, television and new media festival for children, is calling for entries for the 26th edition of the festival this year. The deadline for entry is the 1st of July 2012. The festival will take place from the 17th to the 26th of October 2012 in Amsterdam, with Cinekid for Professional taking place from the 23rd to the 26th.
You can now send in your latest productions or projects for the following events:
INTERNATIONAL FILM COMPETITION:
Submit your new feature film for our prestigious International Film Competition and compete for the Cinekid Lion and € 15.000 Euro. Our international competition programme will consist of 15 children's films. To qualify for selection we would like to receive a DVD with English subtitles and the filled out entry form.
JUNIOR CO-PRODUCTION MARKET:
Submit your project in development for our international Junior Coproduction Market. This can be a film, television or cross media project. The cross media project needs to have a film or television component. You will pitch your project in pre-selected one-on-one meetings to key financiers in the children's media industry. This includes sales agents, distributors, commissioning editors, producers, funding bodies, branding companies, entertainment companies, etc. Your project will need to have a minimum of 10% financing already in place.
