IFB Gaming Meets Animation Event @ JDIFF To Take Place Saturday 23rd February



The Gaming Meets Animation Event "In Conversation With Guillaume De Fondaumiére" that was scheduled for last Friday 15th February has been re-scheduled and will now take place this Saturday, 23rd February at 2pm in the Project Arts Centre.

The event which is part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF) is presented in partnership with Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB).

The new details of the event are as follows:

GAMING MEETS ANIMATION EVENT: In Conversation with Guillaume De Fondaumiére

Guillaume de Fondaumiére is COO for Quantic Dream, an innovative French video game developer that created the groundbreaking Heavy Rain.  They provide motion capture services to the film industry and were the first gaming company to allow for multiple plot-lines - as opposed to more traditional, one-dimensional stories - and are the pioneers of interactive cinema. Fondaumiére will be interviewed by Owen Harris, lecturer on Game Design and Development in DIT and Pulse College.  They will discuss gaming's growing influence on film, emotion in gaming and Quantic Dream's use of interactive cinema.
