Dingle Film Festival takes place this St. Patrick's weekend March 15 - 18th
The Irish Film Board is proud to support the 7th annual Dingle International Film Festival which takes place from the 15th - 18th March. The festival promises to showcase a great mix of feature films, documentaries and shorts as well as industry events and workshops.
First up on Friday will see a screening of Niall McCann's documentary Art Will Save the World which will be followed by a panel session entitled The Next Step. This panel discussion will be based on a filmmaker’s possible ‘Next Step’ in approaching a documentary feature film.
Other documentaries to screen include Keith Walsh and Jill Beardsworth's Apples of the Golan and Sophie Fiennes' Perverts Guide to Ideology. Director Sophie Fiennes and producer Katie Holly will take part in a public interview on Sunday afternoon.
Animation Dingle, a day dedicated to all things animation, will bring together in Dingle for one day the top animation companies working in Ireland, giving them a platform to showcase their current work and discuss their future plans.
The festival will also showcase a terrific mix of Irish short films showcasing the very best of short filmmaking in Ireland.
