‘Irish Folk Furniture’ on the menu in Starbucks Coffeehouses Across the US
Tony Donoghue's animated short documentary IRISH FOLK FURNITURE is one of seven short films selected by the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) to screen in Starbucks Coffeehouses across the United States during the 25 days of the festival (May 16th - June 9th).
SIFF is partnering with Starbucks to present the films as part of the Starbucks Digital Network which provides content that is only accessible on the wi-fi at any one of the near 11,000 Starbucks locations across the US.
IRISH FOLK FURNITURE will stream for 3-4 days on the Starbucks Digital Network and has the potential to be viewed by hundreds of thousands of people across America.
A charming animated tale that brings new life to the cultural and social history of Irish farmhouse furniture, IRISH FOLK FURNITURE was produced by Cathal Black under the 'Frameworks' animated short film scheme funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, RTÉ and the Arts Council.
The short won the Best Short Animation Award at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
The Seattle International Film Festival takes place May 16th - June 9th.
