Lance Daly's 'Life's a Breeze' in Irish Cinemas this Weekend
Life's a Breeze, the new Lance Daly (Kisses)-directed "recession comedy" which stars Pat Shortt and Fionnula Flanagan, will open in Irish cinemas this weekend.
Life's a Breeze tells the story of a family's race against time to claim a lost fortune and also stars Eva Birthistle, Gerry McCann, Philip Judge, Lesley Conroy, Peter Coonan, Brian Gleeson, Paul Ronan and Kelly Thornton, with cameos by Ryan Tubridy and Joe Duffy.
Patrick O'Neill of the film's distributors, Wildcard Distribution, said: "Life's a Breeze is a fun, feel-good family comedy in the vein of Little Miss Sunshine and The Snapper, and we hope it will be loved by audiences of all ages throughout Ireland."
The film recently won a Best newcomer prize for lead Irish actress Kelly THornton at the Galway Film Fleadh where it premiered over the weekend. Commenting on the film Gar O'Brien Programmer at the Galway FIlm Fleadh said:
"Lance Daly's latest is that rarest of things: a feel-good comedy that actually delivers on its promise. Featuring inspired performances from Fionnula Flanagan, Pat Shortt, Eva Birthistle and newcomer Kelly Thornton, Life's a Breeze proves that, though the country may be bollox'd [see poster below], there's still plenty to smile about in this life-affirming comedy."
