Industry Producers Event at the John Ford Symposium

UK and Irish Producers Panel will take place this friday as part of the industry events included in the John Ford Ireland Symposium taking place this weekend.

Former heads of the British Film Institute and UK Film Council are confirmed for a UK & Irish producer panel which will take place at this week's John Ford Ireland Symposium. The participating panellists are as follows:

Andrew Lowe - jointly runs Element Pictures (The Guard, Frank, What Richard Did, Shadow Dancer) with Ed Guiney, focusing on managing the financing and business affairs of Element's own slate of projects and the overseeing of Element's co-production activity in both film and television. Andrew is also a board member of the Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) and Vice Chair of the IBEC Audiovisual Federation.


Katie Holly - is Managing Director of Blinder Films. Her credits as producer include her debut feature One Hundred Mornings, Sensation, Come on Eileen, and Citadel. Recent credits include The Perverts Guide to Ideology, and, as Executive Producer, Jump. Katie was recently appointed to the Irish Film Board.


Tanya Seghatchian - co-produced the first four 'Harry Potter' films and won a BAFTA for My Summer of Love. She is the former head of the Film Fund for the UK Film Council and was a key participant in the UK Film Council and BFI merger. She isnow an independent producer.


John Woodward - is the former head of the BFI and UK Film Council and is currently Managing Director of Arts Alliance, which is a venture capital company whose ventures include Love Film and the founding of the Met Film School.


Andrew Eaton - is a Northern Irish producer and co-founder of Revolution Films (with Michael Winterbottom); his producer credits include 24 Hour Party People, A Mighty Heart, The Claim, Rush, Good Vibrations and The Look of Love)
