IFB Funded 'Get Up and Go' Wraps Dublin Shoot


The Irish feature film GET UP AND GO produced by Fastnet Films with funding from Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film board has wrapped a three week shoot across various locations around Dublin's city centre.

GET UP AND GO, an Irish/Welsh co-production, is a comedy drama starring Killian Scott (Good Vibrations, Love/Hate) and Peter Coonan (King of the Travellers, Love/Hate) alongside Gemma Leah Devereux (Stitches) and Sara Lloyd Gregory (BBC's Hinterland).

The film has shot in several different locations in inner Dublin city including the Screen Cinema, Parnell Square, Smithfield and Dublin's Northside quays.

Set in Dublin, the film follows a close knit group of twenty - something friends as they are forced to confront the reality of lives and friendships which have gone unchallenged and unchanged since their teenage years. The film is written and directed by Brendan Grant (Tonight is Cancelled).

The film has employed over thirty Irish crew and several Welsh crew. It was shot on the Sony F5 supplied by Vast Valley with lighting equipment from Teach Solais.

Post-production is currently underway with Editor Eoin Mc Guirk. Shot by director of photography, Vladimir Trivic and line-produced by Dave Clarke, the production was designed by Emma Lowney. Make-up designer was Kylie Jonkman and Sian Jenkins was on board as costume designer. Juliette Bonass is producing for Fastnet Films with Macdara Kelleher as Executive Producer. The film is in co-production with Wales' Fragrant Films.

Delivery is expected to hit the marketplace in early 2014
