The 48 Hour Film Project is coming to Dublin
Described as a "wild and sleepless weekend in which you and your team have a blast making a movie", the 48 Hour Film Project is a contest in which teams of filmmakers are assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, and have 48 hours to create a short ilm containing those elements.
This exciting and unique competition is coming to Dublin and running throughout the weekend of 4 - 6 October. It will see filmmakers from all over Ireland compete to see who can make the best short film in 48 hours. Each completed film is guaranteed a screening at the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin during the following week with the winning film battling it out with films from around the world to win a combination of both local and international prizes ncluding a trophy, a Hollywood screening and an opportunity to have your short screened that the short film corner in Cannes.
