Irish Producer Katie Holly Selected as a Participant of Producers Lab Toronto
Irish producer Katie Holly, managing Director of Bl!nder Films, has been selected to participate at the trans-Atlantic networking platform Producers Lab Toronto. She is one in 10 European participants, who will travel to Toronto, from the 4th-7th of September, during the Toronto International Film Festival.
The past four years of Producers Lab Toronto, has brought European and Canadian producers together and created an environment to build relationships between producers which has led to many successful co-productions.
Some successful Irish Canadian co-productions include, three time Emmy nominated series ‘Vikings' with seasons two currently in production in Co. Wicklow, the feature film ‘Stay' staring Irish actor Aidan Quinn, the multi-award winning T.V. series ‘The Tudors' seasons 1-4, the ‘F Word', staring Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, ‘The Moth Diaries', a feature film staring rising Irish actress Sarah Bolger, T.V. series ‘Camelot' created by Michael Hirst, and Emmy winning and Golden Globe nominated series ‘The Borgias' created by Neil Jordan, staring Jeromy Irons.
This year, will see the addition of four producers from Australia and New Zealand, they have been invited as guests to join the 20 European and Canadian participants. Their addition to the growing networking platform can only add more potential opportunities for the producers gathering for the Producers Lab Toronto.
