Eliot & Me screening and Q&A at Cinemagic in Belfast this weekend
Fintan Connolly's award-winning children's film will screen at the Queens Film Theatre, Belfast, this Saturday, October 12th, at 2pm, as part of the Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A featuring director Fintan Connolly, producer Fiona Bergin, actors Ella Connolly, Renée Weldon and Des Fitzgerald, and cinematographer Owen McPolin.
Eliot & Me just had a double win at the China International Children's Film Festival: star Ella Connolly picked up the International Jury Award for Best Performance by a Child Actress and the Award for the Children's Favourite Child Performer.
This family film, which was supported by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board and RTÉ, tells the story of ten-year-old Lucy who is struggling to come to terms with her parents' separation. She rescues a dog, Eliot, from the local dog shelter. It is love at first sight and her life starts to improve. But tragedy strikes when Eliot goes missing and Lucy must undertake a dangerous journey to find him.
