King of the Travellers on TV3 tomorrow night
Irish feature King of the Travellers, directed and written by Mark O’Connor, will screen on TV3 tomorrow night at 9pm. Watch the trailer here.
The film stars Peter Coonan (Love/Hate), Michael Collins (Man About Dog), newcomer John Connors, and non-actors from the Traveller community. It features music by Damien Dempsey. The film had a very successful theatrical campaign in spring 2013 across the UK and Ireland, and it was released on DVD later in the year.
King of the Travellers follows John Paul Moorehouse (John Connors) on his destructive quest to uncover the truth about his father’s killer. His desire for revenge is swayed when he falls for Winnie Power, the daughter of the man he suspects killed his father. John Paul must now battle between his passion for justice and his desire to be with the woman he loves.
The film was produced by Cormac Fox and John Wallace, with the support of the Irish Film Board/Bord Scannán na hÉireann, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, and TV3.
