The Toronto Irish Film Festival (TIRFF) starts tomorrow

The Toronto Irish Film Festival (TIRFF) is back for a fifth year, running from February 28th to March 2nd in the TIFF Bell Lightbox. The opening night gala is Alex Fegan’s documentary The Irish Pub, which will be followed by a party in Dora Keogh’s pub.

Elsewhere on the programme are Lance Daly’s Life’s A Breeze, Paul Kennedy’s Made in Belfast, documentary When Ali Came to Ireland, and the Canadian launch of Moone Boy series two.

TIRFF also includes a popular programme of Irish shorts: this year’s choices include the IFB-funded Fear of Flying, The End of the Counter, Two Wheels Good, The Tree and Breakfast Wine, plus The Boys From County Hell. All are having their Canadian premieres.
