Monster Entertainment Clocks up Sales for The Day Henry Met and Rocka-Bye Island
Dublin-based animation and distribution company Monster Entertainment have clocked up sales on two new Irish animated series, The Day Henry Met and Rocka-Bye Island, which they will be bringing to Kidscreen.
The Day Henry Met has just commenced production at Wiggleywoo and has been picked up by Nick Junior UK, SVT In Sweden, YLE in Finland, TV Ontario and RTE. The series follows four-year-old Henry, who every day meets something new. He always wants to learn and find out more. No matter what Henry meets, they’re always delighted to talk, laugh and share their amazing world with him.
Meanwhile Rocka-Bye Island, a co-production between Monster and Magpie 6 Media has been bought by RTE, TBN in the US, Pixel TV in the Ukraine and WhyJ in South Korea. The series follows Sean and Roisin, who each day hop on board their school-boat with their school friends and head off to a magical preschool, where they meet their teacher, Mister O’Dear, who just happens to be a deer. Through imagination, adventure and teamwork, the children learn about their world and how it works, all with the support of their many animal friends on the fantastical and enchanting Rockabye Island.
Monster Entertainment also have a number of animated projects in development, including feature film Hunted!, as well as six animated series – I’m A Fish; The Dinkers; Wulfie; Fuzzyworld; Ellabie & Friends and Danny’s Smelly World.
