Calling all Animators! New Deadline for Frameworks Short Film Scheme Announced
The deadline for the Irish Film Board short animation scheme Frameworks, now in its 20th edition, has been announced. Applications will be accepted until 1pm Wednesday, 15th April 2015.
Frameworks is an established scheme for the making of animated short films which has been incredibly successful in stimulating ground-breaking new work from Irish animators. Projects selected for funding will combine creative exploration with an ability to appeal to a broad audience.
Projects produced under the Frameworks scheme have been hugely successful in attracting both local and critical acclaim. Recent hightlights include Somewhere Down the Line, directed by Julien Regnard and produced by Jonathan Clarke which picked up the best Animated Film award at this year's Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival. CODA, directed by Alan Holly and produced by Ciaran Deeney has seen worldwide success picking up a host of awards at international festivals beginning in SXSW and was long listed for the 2015 Academy Awards®. This Missing Scarf, directed by Eoin Duffy and produced by Eoin Duffy also saw itself long listed for the 2014 Academy Awards® along with gathering huge international recognition on the festival circuit.
