Junior Enterntainment Talent Slate (JETS) Participants Announced Ahead of Berlinale Debut
The participants for the debut Junior Entertainment Talent Slate (JETS) have been announced ahead of its launch at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
Founded by William Peschek from WEP Productions & WEP UK Productions to support emerging filmmakers with their 1st, 2nd and 3rd feature film production in a world competitive market, this year JETS will be opening its doors for the first time to selected British, Canadian, Irish and German filmmakers during the Berlinale.
With the support of the film & TV industry and film funding organisations JETS can provide these filmmakers at early stages an exchange platform to find co-production partners and financing options for their feature film projects.
The initiative is supported by the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board and Irish participants on JETS include Mark Noonon (director) and John Keville (producer) with Tyger Tyger and Phil Sheerin (director) and Ruth Treacy and Julianne Forde (producers) with Winter Lake. Conor Barry of Savage Productions sits on the jury alongside John McDonnell of Fantastic Films.
JETS aims to become a global network for co-productions aimed at emerging filmmakers and a full list of participants can be found in the doc in the sidebar.
